Accreditation & Participation

Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), Amsterdam, Holland

Casa Montessori has been continuously recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale since it’s beginning. The AMI was founded in 1929 by Maria Montessori to preserve Montessori educational standards and promote the rights of the child internationally. Mrs. Trochta currently serves on the Advisory Council to the Board of Directors of the AMI. AMI recognition requires that each class is led by an AMI-trained teacher for the appropriate age-level, has a complete set of approved Montessori materials and has a mixed 3-year age span in each class. To maintain recognition, an approved consultant must visit the school every three years.
